My family has lived in District 834 for 11 years. Our children attend Stillwater Area Public Schools, and I have been involved in the school district as a classroom volunteer, secretary and co-chair of the Stonebridge Elementary Parent-Teacher Association, member of an action planning team for the strategic plan, calendar committee member, and school board member for the past four years. I thoroughly enjoy being active and engaged in the Stillwater Area School District as well as in the area communities the district represents. As I observe kids of all abilities find joy in learning and strive to reach their highest potential, I love knowing that I can have a part in supporting students and staff members in whatever way I can so that everyone can reach their potential.
Accountability and Transparency I am passionate about this community and believe the school district can be excellent for all students. This includes the need for the school board and administration to be accountable and transparent, both within the organization and with our families and community members, while meeting a wide array of student needs. The accountability I desire is one that will make the district stronger and more viable in an area where there is a variety of options for schooling. To do this, we need to be clear about what we plan to do and how we will follow up and assess success.
Action in Customer Service and Fiscal Responsibility I received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of WI – Eau Claire. I have always been naturally drawn to customer service, but my time in college solidified my desire to continually provide excellent customer service while maintaining a high level of fiscal responsibility. Providing quality customer service does not mean that "the customer is always right," but it does mean that our students, families, and community members know that their opinions and concerns matter. Providing quality customer service also means that we make this a great district for employees to work. In order to do all this, it is important to be intentional about having two-way communication with all these groups so we can see how the district is performing and make adjustments as necessary. We have many wise staff, parents, and community members in this district who can join the conversation to make us better.

Hobbies I enjoy participating in a variety of local events with my family. Some favorites include attending Summer Tuesdays, participating in a community band, visiting area parks, and utilizing area bike and walking paths with our kids. We also love road trips and have a goal of visiting all 50 states by the time our oldest graduates. We have seven states to go but cannot drive to two of them! I enjoy spending time with family and friends and serving others at my church and in my community.
I would be honored to have your vote so I can serve you and the students of District 834.
